The same could be said about Plaza herself and her approach to the red carpet. “I [always] want to feel like an elevated version of myself,” she says. “I like to feel sexy, comfortable, and true to myself as much as I can.” For the SAG Awards, Plaza continued this energy. The star says she wanted to channel a “screen siren” with her look, and her shimmery bronze Michael Kors Collection custom dress complete with a crisscross neckline and cutout exposing the abdomen was the perfect piece to do so, embodying a dash of Studio 54 energy. “We were trying to encapsulate a modern ’70s vibe,” says Plaza. “I loved the beautiful brown color of the dress and the sexy cutouts. It felt sexy but not overdone. Glamorous and chic.” She accessorized with Mouawad jewelry valued at more than $1.2 million.
It won’t be the last stellar red carpet moment from Plaza this coming month. Her new action spy film, Operation Fortune (in which she costars alongside Jason Statham), premieres on March 3 meaning we have even more outfits from her to look forward to. You may think that the stars of The White Lotus must be used to the hype and craze around their hit HBO series by now but for Meghann Fahy, who portrayed Daphne in season two, the fandom around the series is still entirely a shock. “After being such a fan of season one, it’s been pretty surreal,” Fahy tells Vogue. “Shows like White Lotus don t come around often, so it s really just an honor to be a part of something that s such a cultural phenomenon, alongside actors and creators that I admire so much.”
